These guys are awesome. The gumbo is delicious and they did not skimp on good meat. The shrimp was very tasty.

This is a small fish fry/creole restaurant.  They won an award for their good 10 years ago. There appeared to be a steady stream of regulars stopping in to pick up their preordered meals. Well I ordered the fish and shrimp which cost about 15 bucks. I though this was overpriced. They literally only gave me 2 pieces if shrimps, and 4 small pieces if fish.  Honestly the fish was really good or I was really hungry. It was seasoned well, and cooked well.  Loved the taste,  not the price.

I don't know what these people are talking about.
Best red snapper I've ever had. Friendly cook and employees. New spot for me.

Well, we accidentally stopped here before a concert at the Forum for food because we were desperate and the place I planned to go to was packed. I wanted to like this place, but it's food served in an old gas station. OK, I can get over that. The people that worked their were really on it- so a huge plus to them for working hard, because it was busy! But I ordered my food right after my friend and she was done eating before I even got my food. She was done eating before she even got her water and my husband tried to go to the counter to ask for it.
The food we did get tasted just ok. I wanted a healthy fish, grilled. Not available and everyone else was hoping for fish and chips. Not exactly.
Overall, I was really disappointed with the greens and the potato salad was funny. Husband said "It's mashed potatoes with stuff in them" YES they were. Flavor was still good so I was happy to eat it. I was NOT happy with paying that price for a tiny serving.
There's no reason to ever return here for me. It was ok to get us by in not starving and saving money from what would have been available in the forum for sure.

About the food... Just ordered hush puppies and the popcorn shrimp for a snack before heading into the Forum. The puppies were hard, Maybe even stale. The shrimp was good but we didn't expect a ton of fries to be included which made it look like there was more shrimp in there. After this, don't even want to come back to try any other food they have. Big disappointment for a Louisiana themed restaurant.
